Blake Law remains a proud sponsor of the National Guardianship Association (NGA) since 2014. The NGA brings together attorneys, judges, professional fiduciaries, trustees, as well as public and family guardians from across the United States. Their annual conference is a three day long event with engaging key note speakers and numerous breakout sessions that provide education, guidance, and a sense of community to its membership. As a sponsor we have exhibited at the NGA’s annual conferences in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2018 which were hosted in a different part of the country each October. In 2018 the NGA conference was held in Palm Springs and provided “An Oasis of Knowledge” for its attendees.

The attorneys at Blake Law are proud members of the International Guardianship Network (IGN). Starting in 2010 the IGN hosts the biennial World Congress on Adult Guardianship. These congresses are held in different countries and bring together some of the world’s premier attorneys, judges, clinicians, researchers and advocates who all share a passion and significant depth of knowledge about guardianship and persons with diminished capacity. These events are a place to gain a cross cultural understanding of how different countries are navigating the issues of capacity and court appointed guardians who serve a vulnerable population. The IGN strongly promotes the tenants of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Blake Law was a platinum sponsor of the 3rd World Congress on Adult Guardianship hosted in Washington D.C. in 2014. Blake Law continues to support the IGN’s efforts to connect an international community of professionals on the complex issues guardianship matters present. For more information on the IGN and the upcoming World Congress please visit the International Guardianship Network.

BlakeLaw has been a continued donor to Health Care for the Homeless and NAMI.
